SAINT LEO | Florida Southern College's women's golf team shot its best score of the season for the second consecutive day to finish sixth after the final round of the Saint Leo Invitational on Tuesday.
The Mocs shot 308 on Tuesday, bettering their 309 during the first round on Monday to nearly grab a top-five finish at the 17-team event.
Emily Rymer led the Mocs with a two-day total of 147 to finish in a three-way tie for third. Rymer shot 1-under-par 71 on Tuesday and shaved five shots off her first-round score.
The senior from Orlando had just one bogey on the day and two birdies. She finished the round with seven consecutive pars, to post her fifth under-par round since last spring.
